Homecard Libraries

Homecards Expire All Huntington Homecards (except those very recently given out) expire at the end of June 2008. We will begin renewing cards on May 1st. Please bring your card with you when you come to the library so that we can update you in the system and on your actual card. Card renewals are particularly important if you enjoy Homecard privileges at neighboring libraries. Cards will be renewed for two years from the date of your renewal.

Homecard Rules

Anyone 13 years of age and older may have ahomecard.
Possessing a Homecard is a privilege. Please be respectful of other library's regulations.
Your validated Homecard must presented in order to take out books.
Books must be returned to the library from which they came.
Return books by the due date. If you wish to keep them longer, please call the library to renew. This saves two sets of postage.
Interlibrary loan books must be requested from a patron's HOME library.
Payment for lost books is the responsibility of the borrower.
Parents/adults/guardians are responsible for all books checked out on the household's Homecard number.
Children between kindergarten and 4th grade, at Brewster Pierce Memorial School are given KID'S CARDS each June. Children attending home school or private school may also receive KID'S CARDS - please call and ask! KID'S CARDS are only accepted at the Huntington library - other library usage requires a parent's Homecard.

OVERDUE BOOK POLICY

Quarterly	Written overdue notice will be mailed
6 months	Bill for overdue materials will be mailed
12 months	Homecards will be suspended for patrons having materials ovedue or unpaid for after one year.

LOST OR DAMAGED BOOKS

The patron will be responsible for the replacement cost, plus processing of any lost or damaged book.
